- The course material is provided in 8 comprehensive lessons.

- Students will learn the basic techniques for positioning their Web pages in the major search engines and will use either AltaVista or Inktomi as an online training board.
- The Essential Foundations course does not teach HTML. A basic knowledge of HTML and the Web is needed in order to benefit from the course.

If you would like to earn Continuing Education Units, you must pay $25 per CEU to USM prior to beginning a course. Absolutely NO CEUs can be awarded to anyone after the course begins.
