Web Marketing Today (http://www.wilsonweb.com/wmt/). The "granddaddy" of free Web marketing publications, and one of the largest, Web Marketing Today has been published since November 1995, and reaches a large subscribership. E-mail circulation is over 125,000 (7/01) and grows by approximately 3,000 subscribers per month. It focuses on topics related to promoting and marketing a business online. WMT has a hands-on, how-to-do-it approach written by practitioners rather than observers. It is currently published once per month, the first week of the month. See rates below.
Why don't you subscribe right now to Web Marketing Today? It's free and you'll learn a lot! :-)
Web Commerce Today (http://www.wilsonweb.com/wct/). Began in August 1997 to provide a focus on e-commerce, narrowly-defined as selling products directly over the Internet. While our focus is on retail, we also cover business-to-business issues. WCT is published twice monthly. An articles issue is published mid-month, while a links issue is published the last week of the month. Since subscribers pay $49.95 annually for a subscription, our subscriber list is relatively small (compared to Web Marketing Today), though very focused on and serious about e-commerce. We only take advertising in WCT in combination with other banner or e-mail newsletter advertising. See rates below.
Doctor Ebiz (http://www.doctorebiz.com) is our newest publication. Using a question and answer format, it answers two or three common e-business questions in a total of 700 words. We offer three ad spots -- one prior to the first question, a second before the second question, and a third before the third question. The subscriber list is over 60,000 (7/01) and growing. The demographic is identical to Web Marketing Today. See rates below.
Samples
We've set up sample issues on an autoresponder. Just send a blank e-mail message to receive you sample issue. Please DON'T use these addresses to correspond with us!
We feature two to three sponsorship ads per issue. The first position ad is before the first article. The second position ad is after the first article, etc.. Sponsorships are for the e-mail edition of only. Advertising in the Web edition is by means of banner advertising. (http://www.wilsonweb.com/ads/rt-banner.htm)
An ad on our e-mail edition consists of up to eight 65-character lines of ASCII text. To see how much text this is, set up your word processor to 5.5" line width, and set the font to 10 pt Courier New. We also offer 2-line ads in Web Marketing Today once a month, father down in the issue.
We also publish an HTML-email edition of WMT where your ad will also run. Currently, the HTML list is just a small fraction of the ASCII list, so it doesn't pay to run a different ad in the HTML edition.

Doctor Ebiz has a nearly identical demographic to Web Marketing

cost is less, even though the rates are the same. We do NOT offer tests, or e-mailing to only part of our list. Your ad will go to the entire list.

Sponsorships in our e-mail newsletters must be paid in advance, with a check arriving no later than 5 days before the publication date.
Payments must be made in US funds. We do not accept credit cards for sponsorships.
We are happy to cooperate with media brokers and enjoy cordial relations with many agencies.
Bills unpaid after the due date may be assessed a late fee of 5% per month up to a maximum of 20% late charges.
Reporting
We are able to offer click-through tracking of links, but they use a redirect with our domain name.
Alternatively, we can give your URL a code such as http://www.yourdomain.com/?wmt64 Anything after the ? in a URL will not affect the destination, but can be identified in your traffic logs. Another approach is to set up a separate webpage to track as your ad URL.
We keep our list clean using a Lyris listserver program, and manually delete any unsubscribe requests before e-mailing each issue.
While the size of our site is too small to afford regular third party audits, we will work with our advertisers and their auditors to assure them of the integrity of our system. You may verify the size of our list through our list server contractor SparkList.com.
Click-Through Rates
Since our advertisers, not we, normally track click-through-rates (CTRs), it is difficult to give generalized feedback. We expect that CTRs range from about 1% to 3%, though the quality of newsletter advertising CTRs tends to be substantially higher than banner ad CTRs, since the customers are much better qualified by the ad text they have read. We do not guarantee CTRs nor sell sponsorships on a pay-per-click basis.
Demographic Profile
Our readers as a whole are serious business people, seeking to learn how to set-up and run their businesses on the Web. While the largest group of viewers are from small to medium size businesses, we also have a significant readership from Fortune 500 companies due to the quality of our information and research capabilities. A full demographic profile is available on our website (http://wilsonweb.com/ads/demog-profile.htm)
Compatibility
We are pleased to accept advertising focused on our specific topics of Web marketing and e-commerce, or of interest to those in our demographic profile. We do not accept advertising for MLM or programs that offer quick riches. We reserve the right to reject any advertising.
