"At Cincinnati State Technical and Community College we are starting an Associate Degree program in E-commerce Marketing. We also have a 34-credit hour Certificate Program in E-commerce Marketing.
We've spent over a year in course development, involving hundreds of hours of research as to the tasks, skills, and personal qualities that entry-level workers must demonstrate to be successful as they enter careers in Internet marketing. Attracting highly targeted traffic is a key element that must be mastered. As a result we developed MKT 1883 Search Engine Strategies.
Search Engine Strategies is a required course in both the certificate and degree programs. As we looked for resources to use in the course we discovered the Academy of Web Specialists. I can't speak highly enough about the quality of their programs and the expertise of their instructors.
Robin Nobles has done a wonderful job of crafting courses that focus on both project-based and problem-based learning. The courses incorporate the most effective practices in search engine optimization, as well as a variety of strategies to help in the areas of website pre-design.
The courses are constantly being updated to reflect state-of-the-art practices. Also included in the Academy's courses are valuable links to information on other topics that tie into successful optimization strategies.
I have taken the Essential Foundations Course and am enrolled in the Advanced Search Engines Course.
All the lessons I have "experienced" have had real application in the world of Internet marketing.
I have been so impressed with the quality of my experience with the Academy of Web Specialists and their learning materials that Cincinnati State adopted them for the Search Engine Strategies course.
I can recommend them without reservation."
